Every year in October, St. John's Episcopal Church provides us with a Blessing of the Animals.  We always look forward to this event as we see all kinds of animals and it's a chance to thank God for these sweet creatures.

It's fun to watch each owner bring their precious pets to Father Eric and Mother Whitney for a blessing and a fun time to gather with each other.  A cousin told me that he thinks dogs are angels, we really believe him.

Mommy & Luigi

Luigi was my very first Boxer.  I got him for my son Justin on his 15th birthday.  He lived 7 years and died from cancer.  He is buried in our backyard in Mommy's favorite bathrobe with love letters I wrote to him and a handmade pillow for his head.  You know how some dogs you just bond with deeply and others maybe not as much?  Luigi was my first canine love.  I will love and miss him forever.  So will Justin.
